A dedicated team of ten from Axco recently participated in the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation’s 2025 International Step Up Challenge.

Their objective was to collectively achieve a minimum of 7,000 steps per day over a four-week period, all while raising funds to support vital charitable initiatives.

The Axco team collaborated with IICF UK, joining a formidable group of 1,158 insurance employees from 22 countries.

The funds generated are directed towards charities committed to enhancing literacy skills among disadvantaged children, thereby equipping them with essential reading abilities that can significantly improve their futures.

Our team logged steps and many other activities – from Bouldering and Cycling to Water Polo and Yoga – amassing a total of 4,487,969 steps. This effort put us in 7th place from over 300 teams, with Michael Bowman coming in 14th in the individual statistics. We were fortunate that this challenge coincided with a period of fantastic weather and the team really enjoyed getting out and about, making the most of it and contributing to a good cause at the same time!
