Bond Solon and Astutis recently launched the new ‘Certified Serious and Major Accident Investigator’ course (CSMAI)
This is a unique 6-day modular programme designed by Bond Solon focusing on the Health & Safety sector and being marketed in collaboration with our sister company Astutis.
The course is delivered by a combination of Bond Solon and Astutis in-house trainers and Bond Solon freelance trainers. Learners who successfully complete the course are awarded a level 6 qualification by the International Compliance Association (ICA). Since its inception just over 6 months ago it has already been run as both an in-house and public offering; and has been delivered both face-to-face and over Microsoft Teams.
In the ever-evolving landscape of Health & Safety training, collaboration and innovation are key to meeting the diverse needs of clients.
Rob Gray, Director of Training at Bond Solon, emphasises the significant strides made through a partnership involving Bond Solon, Astutis, and ICA.
Rob's insights shed light on the successful development of a tailored training solution that not only addresses identified gaps in the market but also provides participants with recognised qualifications.
“This has been a truly collaborative effort between Bond Solon, Astutis and ICA to identify a clear gap in the Health & Safety market and develop a training solution that caters to the specific needs of our clients whilst providing them with a recognised qualification. “Throughout delivery of the initial cohorts, we’ve been constantly studying delegate feedback. So far, our average Overall Rating for the course is 4.85 (out of 5) with an average Knowledge Improvement of 35% and a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of +86.5. This is extremely encouraging - but we can always improve. Taking this initial feedback into account, our in-house trainer Richard Jones has led on finessing both the content and delivery to further enhance the courses. We’ve also watched as our very own Paul Moore’s ‘method acting’ skills have flourished as the injured staff member on the interviewing skills modules! “Even within a defined Health & Safety market, each client’s requirements are slightly different. Putting our clients at the centre of everything we do is paramount. Our ability to be flexible in terms of delivery mode and the inclusion of targeted industry-specific content, ensures that we cater specifically to these needs. Last week’s in-house training for Cleshar Services (who conduct investigations into accidents within the Rail sector) demonstrated the benefits of never resting on our laurels and always striving for excellence. We received our first blanket ‘5 out of 5s’ for all delegates and an NPS of +100. "The culmination of a lot of hard work and a real team effort for all those involved across the 3 group companies.”

Recent feedback from customers shows just how they really value what we are doing to truly make a difference
“Great course, highly recommended to any health and safety practitioners.”
“Excellent course which has provided invaluable experience and insight in what to expect in the event of an accident/incident leading to a court hearing scenario.”
“Great content and delivery from the trainers. Highly recommended.”

Many congratulations to the Bond Solon team, including Alister Turtle, Richard, Paul, Piers and Rob. Their work in the design and creation of this new product required careful collaboration with ICA to get the assessments formally accredited as well as working with our new sister company, Astutis."
