How did Wilmington support charities this festive season?

Throughout December Wilmington colleagues supported charities in both Boston and the UK by providing gifts, supplies or food to those in need.

In Boston, Compliance Week supported the Toys for Tots initiative, whilst colleagues in the UK at our head office in Aldgate and in Essex donated to KidsOut. Both Toys for Tots and KidsOut donate toys to children who otherwise might not receive a present at Christmas, due to their current family circumstances. It has been fantastic to see teams getting involved with both charities, with the amount of donations exceeding that of previous years. Basildon colleagues managed to raise £175 for KidsOut and in London 137 presents and 7 gift vouchers were donated, this included 3 gift boxes donated by DFW Law, a company who work closely with Wilmington’s Axco business.

Colleagues at our Aldgate Head Office also supported a local charity The Whitechapel Mission, who help the marginalised and homeless all year round. They rely solely on donations to provide essential supplies and meals to vulnerable people in the Whitechapel area. This December colleagues donated 123 gifts, all of which will make a big difference to those in need in Whitechapel.

Continuing the support of families in the local area, our offices in Plymouth, Leicester and Sutton Coldfield all organised food bank donations.

The teams across the offices donated 15.76 Kg of food to the North Plymouth Foodbank, 10 hampers to a food bank in Braunstone and 11 boxes full of food and gifts to the Sutton Coldfield Food Bank. These donations will have provided relief to a number of vulnerable families over the festive period.

A big thank you to everyone at DFW Law along with Wilmington colleagues who donated. Wilmington has been able to make a real difference to those in need this festive season.
